Digital Photography and/or Beginner’s Photoshop

You can book one-to-one coaching sessions in digital photography or Photoshop image editing, or both. These sessions are run throughout the Lake District, and you can choose to book a full day or half day’s tuition.

• Full attention: You get our full attention, you are not competing with anyone else for the instructor’s time, like you are with group tuition. You can ask as many ‘silly’ questions as you like!

• Tailor made: We discuss your requirements before the course and then tailor your tuition to your specific needs.

• It’s ‘hands on’: Sessions are practical. Theory is fine but these courses are all about ‘doing’.

Who are our digital photography sessions for?

Our digital photography coaching sessions are aimed at absolute beginners and those with some knowledge of photography, who’d like to learn more. Many of our clients book a session with us having upgraded to a Digital SLR from a compact digital camera. They want to move on from using the camera’s automatic settings, and want to learn about its functions the easy way, without having to read the manual. Others just want to learn more about photography in general. They enjoy taking pictures and want to take better photos.

Non-photographers can attend free

If you want to bring along a non-photographer, for example a family member, friend or partner, you are welcome to bring them with you at no extra charge. They won’t be coached, but they can come along and enjoy the scenery!

Share your Session

If you would like to share your coaching session with another photographer, who you want to bring along, contact us and we will arrange a specially discounted price for them. Be aware that your instructor’s time will be split between both of you.

You Choose

Personal tuition is tailored to your needs. Before your session we discuss what you’d like to learn to ensure you get the right kind of coaching. Our aim is to make you a better photographer by teaching you to take and make better photos.

You can choose to spend time learning how to use your digital camera, improving your landscape photography or getting to grips with digital editing in Photoshop. You can combine a morning’s photography with an afternoon editing your pictures in Photoshop. It’s up to you how you want to spend your time. It’s your choice.

Many of our clients also realise that capturing the image in their camera is not the end of the creative process. Digital images can be edited, enhanced and re-sized using software such as Photoshop Elements and Adobe CS4. Prices

Prices are £225 per day (6 hours tuition) and £125 per half-day.
