What to Bring with You
What to bring on your Better Photos session
Camera Gear
Bring your camera, with a fully charged battery (or batteries), charger, memory cards and spares and tripod (or we can lend you one).
Important: Bring your camera manual. Every camera model is different and we may have to check individual settings by reading your camera manual.
Food and Drinks
Bring snacks and your lunch. A flask containing a hot drink is useful. We can often plan a lunch break at a pub or cafe, dependent on location.
Suitable Clothing
It’s important to wear clothing and footwear which is suitable for the outdoors. You are advised to bring a waterproof jacket, and ‘layer up’ for warmth as you can get cold easily when standing around in the outdoors for long periods. Bring a hat and gloves too. Bring a large golf brolly to protect your camera on rainy days.
Gardening Knee Mat or Walkers Sit Mat
Bring along a mat to protect your knees when we are doing low-down compositions and to sit on.
Photoshop Tuition
You will need to bring a laptop which has Photoshop Elements or CS4 loaded onto it. Don’t forget your charger. If you’d like to review and edit the images you take during the day, you will need to bring a card reader or your camera/computer cable so that you can upload your pictures onto your laptop.
Notebook and Pen
We suggest that you bring a notebook and pen so you can take notes during the course.
Fitness
Our courses are not particularly physically demanding, although you will be on your feet throughout our photography sessions and be walking from place to place. However, if you have mobility issues we can tailor the tuition to your needs. Contact us to discuss this.
The Weather
Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and we sometimes have to adapt our tuition to take weather conditions into account. Please bear with us.
* Please note: Tuition fees are for tuition ONLY and exclude your transport, accommodation, food and drinks.
Don’t wade through the manual – We’ll show you how.
